Not sure if it's the right discussion board but couldn't think where else it fits.  

My printer activates itself and randomly prints pages.  Last night  or early this morning it used nearly a full ream of paper printing the "Fax Log For" - I don't even have a fax.  It has previously activated and printed about 50 pages of the Printer Status Report, and a few pages of the HP Digital Filing Set Up instructions - all without my computer being switched on.  It is connected by WiFi.

If anyone can assist, much appreciated.

Hi! @Helmarbro, Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

 

I understand that your printer is printing is random status reports.

 

1. Please perform a power drain.

 

Remove all the cables connected to the printer including power cable.

Hold the power button for 20 seconds.

Then connect the power cable directly to the wall outlet. 

Check if the printer is still printing random pages.

If yes please update the printer firmware from the link below.
