HP Officejet 4630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printing via WIFI.

Having printed a job successfully, the job does not then clear from the spooler and cannot be deleted. If left there some time, the system starts print it again and repeats that behaviour.

The only quick fix is to run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This is good, except that I have to run the utility often during the day. Not all print jobs are affected. The problem seems to be intermittent.

Would be preferable to know how to avoid the problem or if a diagnosis and fix could be made.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you go to your printer properties and see if the "Keep printed documents" is checked?

Example:

Keep printed documents.jpg

Thanks.

Hi,

Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)

The following resource will help you :

http://123.hp.com/us/en/

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

If you are not sure how to do this, the following resource will walk you through the steps:

How to Uninstall Download & Reinstall a Printer software

Hope that helps!

I followed the instructions and all worked ok.

The problem remains.

A few minutes ago in Microsoft Outlook and I selected the Quick Print option to print an email in Memo style (the default). The job printed ok, but the job got left in the spooler. The job has a blank status and can be deleted. The next job says status = printing, but nothing happens. When that job is cancelled, the status changes to deleting... but never completes the deletion. Only way to remove the job is to use the HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.
