I have had a lot of difficulties in getting my printer to stay connected so I can find it from my Mac. I can turn it on, it will print, then after a few minutes, the computer can no longer identify the printer... or the status will show the printer to be offline from my Mac. However, the printer is still connected to the LAN.  Ii will have to turn it off and then turn it back on in order to print a few more pages...

I have repeated the set up many times, I have used a static IP for my printer... everything I do yield a similar result.

Any help will be much appreciated?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you try this:

macOS 10 12 Sierra: Adding a printer using IP address

Hope that helps!
