HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printe
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I might have Windows 10 (64 bit)    I don't know and don't know how to find this out.

Anyway, I was trying to print today and both the resume light and the power light started blinking together and won't quit.  I have already tried  1.  unplugging the power source and waiting 60 seconds  2.  have been to the HP help site and deleted the jobs in the print spool.   3.  tried to run some type of scan check by using a command prompt and wasn't successful.

4.  determined that I didn't needed a new battery (didn't come with one)  5.  when I opened the print cartridge compartment, in an attempt to try a solution which required me to move the cartridges to the center, the printer would not do this.  It was like it was frozen.

Any help would be appreciated.  However I'm tempted to go by another printer since this one was so cheap.  Maybe this is why I'm having trouble???????

@skraider

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand the resume light and the power light are blinking, the printer doesn't print anymore,

No worries as I'd love to help, however, I need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:

Have you attempted to press and hold the cancel button for a few seconds to check if the issue is resolved? any changes if done?

did you try closing the cartridge latches? as this could be an unsecured latch?

Meanwhile, try the steps below to resolve the issue:

Solution one: Close the cartridge latches

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

  2. Open the front access cover. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before proceeding.

Figure : Open the front access cover

  3. Make sure that the cartridge latches are closed, and that they rest flat on the cartridges.

Figure : Close the cartridge latches

  4. Close the front access cover. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before proceeding.
  5. Try printing again.
  • If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

  • If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.

Solution two: Clear the paper jam

Follow these steps to resolve the paper jam: Click here to view a video with the details.

Step three: Clear the paper jam from inside the front access cover

If you cannot remove the paper jam from the output slot, follow these steps to remove any jammed paper from inside the printer.

  1. Remove any loose sheets of paper from the input tray and the output slot.

  2. Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

  3. Open the front access cover.

Click here for more steps and details. (Look under, The Power light and the Resume light blink, and the Left and the Right Cartridge lights are on or blinking)

Keep me posted,
