Hi @GIN33,

Thanks for stopping by the HP forums. Good day! 🙂 I reviewed the post the about finding out a scanned document on your computer. It will be a delight to assist you here. 🙂

Terrific effort, splendid troubleshooting and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting.  Kudos to you on that score. 🙂  You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.

  • What is the operating system installed on the computer?
  • Is it windows or MAC?

If the operating system is windows, please follow this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03466081

Please follow the steps in the document where there is a video also. Follow the steps in option 3 that gives you the destination folder of your scanned documents. Scan once again and befoe you scan it gives the destination folder.

Make a note of that entire path and go to that folder and you should find the scanned document or image there.

If the operating system is MAC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04788799 then please check the appropriate option that is relevant to the version of MAC and the scanning software that you use. Again there is a video associated with it and it also gives the folder to which the document or image is scanned. Please go to that folder and you should find the scanned document.

Hope this helps.   I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂  Please reach out for any issues and I'll always be there to assist you always. 🙂

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.

If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles. 🙂

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. 🙂
