Windows can not update hp7640

I purchased this printer a year ago. I started getting messages that Windows could not update my printer. I get updates automatically from Windows when they become available, and everytime these updates occur, the one to update my HP Envy7640 gets kicked out with a message saying Windows can not install this particular update. Before the warranty expired on the printer, I called and had 3 different HP tech people remotely go into my computer to figure out why the update does not go through.  All of them had different answers, but none of them were right.  As I write this, windows just sent me another message  saying it can not install the HP update. Does anybody know why this is happening?

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Probably Windows download manager does not work very well. Please manually download and install

I did everything the HP expert "banhien" said to do, and still Windows 10 can not install the update that keeps coming down for my HP ENVY 7640. Very frustrating. Will just have to ignore the messages coming down from the Windows update site that keeps telling me it can not install the update for my HP 7640. It is very hard to believe that this updater has been trying to install on my system for almost a year now, but when I downloaded the firmware link given to me by "banhein," that said my printer was up to date. That is why I am totally confused on this whole thing. I also downloaded the whole software program as suggested, and it said everything is OK.
