Hi @luxsaur,

As I understand you are getting an error while updating the drivers for the audio, on your HP notebook. Don't worry as I have a few steps which should help you to resolve this issue,

I did check the product specifications and found that PC was shipped with Windows 8.1 installed. However, there is a workaround which should help you to fix this issue,

Go to the device manager and click to expand the Sound, video and game controllers device category.

1. Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC under that category.

2. Select Driver tab.

3. Click Update Driver... button.

4. Select  -> Browse my computer for driver software.

5. Select -> Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

6. Select  High Definition Audio Device (Not  IDT High Def...  this is important.) and click Next.

A warning message may appear but click Yes.

7. Windows has successfully updated your driver software.

8. Restart the PC.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you try to update the Bios, Chipset drivers from our HP Support website, using this link

Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you.
