Hi Community,

I'm installing an HP Laserjet Pro M12 on my mac, which is running Yosemite. I've been able to successfully connect the printer with a USB cable, but I would like to print wirelessly instead. Here's where I run into problems. Although the software installation was apparently 'successful', the HP printer folder has not appeared in my Utilities (or anywhere else) and no icons have appeared in my dock. (I've tried reinstalling a few times - the installation process still says it was successful, but...still no folder.) I believe I need to access the HP Setup Assistant to switch to wireless printing, but how do I find that? Thoughts?

Hi,

You should not have an HP folder and shouldn't use HP Setup Assistant for your printer.

 

You will need to configure the wireless connected via the HTML Config tool, that can be accessed from Printers & Scanners.

 

Follow these steps to setup your printer wirelessly:
