photosmart 5510
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have installed photosmart 5510 which is connected wirelessly with solid signal strength and correct IP address registered. But cannot connect to PC as it won't recognise the printer via the IP address, this is affecting being able to use the scan function on the PC.

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Photosmart 5510 printer. I understand that you are unable to scan to your computer, and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Restart devices and check driver scan settings.
  • Check the network and printer connection status.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the printer software.
  • Temporarily disable firewall software on the computer.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

Please click the "Accept as Solution" button and the "Thumbs Up".

Let me know how you make out.

Cheers
