My print driver is corrupted.  My driver does not show up in the device manager but when you go to print it shows up with 11 documents.  I can't open this driver file and can't delete it.  Any suggestions?

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂

I understand that you have an HP OfficeJet 4650 All-in-One Printer and it's drivers seem to be corrupted. I read that the drivers do not show up in the device manager and when you try to print something, it shows there are 11 documents in the print queue. Also, you are unable to open and delete the driver file. Not to worry, I'll do my best to help you.

To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Is the printer able to make a copy? If yes, then the printer hard should be fine.
  • Did any software changes or updates happen for the printer post which it stopped printing from the computer?
  • Is the printer connected via USB or wirelessly?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. This is a free tool for Windows to help resolve printer driver issues
  • If the issue persists post running the HP print and scan doctor then I suggest you to uninstall the printer drivers from the root level. The below steps will help to uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.

Now, you may download and install the printer drivers via this link

Post installation if the drivers the printer should be able to print fine. I hope this helps.

Please let me know what happens. All the best! 🙂
