LaserjetM1212 nf MFP
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

How do I restore Laserjet M1212nf MFP ability to scan to pdf format?

Used to be able to (that's why I bought it) but that option/function was lost along the way.

Kind regards,

Dan

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

Can you try this alternative software :

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Let us know if that works.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP forum.  We'd like to suggest that you uninstall and reinstall your printer software.

Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-pro-m1212nf-multifunction-printer-series...

2. Uninstall the software in your computer
3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

After reinstalling, that should fix your Scan to PDF issue.

Hope that helps!

Thanks Professor,

Followed the recommended process to no avail; still don't have pdf capability.

Previously had tried reloaded driver from disk which didn't give me pdf capability either.

Puzzled...

ANy other ideas?

I am having the same issue.  This started after upgrading to Windows 10.  I tried the above fix but got an error saying "This HP Imaging Device was not found".

Hi @MelWolf

Thanks for using the HP Forum.

For a start, could you uninstall and reinstall your FULL feature software?

Which printer model are you using?

Thanks.

I have an M476 which used to scan .pdf's but has lost the ability.  I followed all the instructions in this thread, uninstalled, reinstalled, installed the print extension, and rebooted with no success at regaining .pdf scanning ability.  Kindly suggest a fix.  Thanks

Oh, just realized I was using Windows fax/scan instead of HP scan.  No trouble, no worries, it works.
