Not thanks to HP, but figured a solution - kind of. Set paper type to "glossy" and quality to "normal" and it started to print again on regular paper, however slow. Will return this printer as soon as ink is depleted or if it fails again. Whatever happens first.

Just a thanks to comfortcat - had the same issue, tried the same: set print quality to high, paper to HP Glossy and it works. So, someone from HP explain what's different? Are we talking a different software path or different hardware? Is this a firmware bug in the printer? Can it be flashed to fix?

I presume there's no fix from HP on this issue? I'm suffering the same and from what i can gather, i need a new printer!

@hi @comfortcat,

If this printer is still within warranty I would definitely recommend contacting HP Phone Support, as I think you require a replacement.

Hi Ciara,

No, unfortunatly it ran out last month. Something else i have in common with a lot of people reporting this fault :Crying:

It was also a gift - i have no idea where it was from and where it was purchased. I'm just going off the HP warranty checker where you enter the serial no. Etc.

Regards,

Pete.

Hi Pete,

Ok, let me know if it's out of warranty. The link to the checker is below
