Hi folks,

HP Solution Center is not available for Mac. Instead you can use HP Utility.

For anybody looking to download HP Solution Center for Windows read on.

HP Solution Center is the main software program that you use to control and maintain your printer. The program is part of the Full Feature software and driver package, and cannot be downloaded separately. HP Solution Center acts as a central point of access for tasks such as scanning, printing, and copying, and also provides access to the following features:

  • Printer settings (such as scan and print settings)

  • Printer help and troubleshooting

  • Links to shopping and supplies

  • Other HP software programs (such as photo-editing software

HP Solution Center is available for software versions 13 and 14, you must have the full feature software and driver installed in order to have the Solution Center. To obtain full feature software and driver, use the HP Print Install Wizard if you have Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 > HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows

If you have Windows XP or Vista, click the following link and enter your product - HP Drivers & Downloads

For new windows 8 users who can not find full feature software; Although your HP printer functions essentially the same with the in-Operating System (in-OS) driver, you might notice some differences. One difference is that you will not have access to HP Solution Center as before. However, there are workarounds available for the tasks you typically perform with HP Solution Center. (What Happened to HP Solution Center in Windows 8?)

I know some people use the Solution Center just to check ink levels, instead you can use the Print and Scan Doctor. You can click the Printer menu to find the additional features such as cleaning printheads, aligning printheads, checking ink levels, and viewing advanced printer data for your selected printer. - HP Print and Scan Doctor

HP introduced HP Solution Center to replace HP Director in 2004. While HP continues to support HP Director on products used in Windows XP and Windows 2000 operating systems, HP Director is not compatible with Windows Vista.

If you recently upgraded to Windows Vista, you will not be able to use HP Director. However, you might be able to upgrade to HP Solution Center in its place.  - HP Director and Windows Vista Compatibility
