Dear All,

I have a different kind of problem.

I installed HP laserjet 1020 in win7 but when I shared with other user from printer sharing option everthing  working smoothly then the same will be added in users PC having win XP or vista or win7 but whenever they give the printting command document spooled but not printting then I restart the PC which is locally connected with the Printer then print out come.

What is the solution kind help....

1. 1st of all download laserjet 1020 basic printer driver for windows vista. you can down it from this link

2. after downloading driver for vista extract it even exe file with winrar and then go to device manager and then HP laserjet 1020 which is shown as unkown device and right click on it and after that update driver

3.  and after that go to folder where extarct vista driver exe and select it .

note. i did not run exe file.

Dear Mehmood,

I have done the same method and its works for me too but after this I want to share my printer to LAN with other user and this time I am failed to overcome so I am here to get some update or help on such kind of issue.

Dear Tahir!

There should be no problem even if you sharing your printer with other pcs on local network, just do one thing install driver on other pc as you installed before.

if you are facing any problem please write to me at which specific point you are facing problem.
