2605dn won't print from one computer, but another computer on the same network prints just fine.

Both machines running Win 7 64-bit, both on same network (as printer) all with wired lan connection. One machine prints just fine, but since a few days ago, my PC won't print to the printer. PING and TRACERT find it okay, and I've tried deleting/reinstalling the printer several times. Using PCL6 driver, as well as specific driver for printer have same results.  Anyone else having this issue?

Re: 2605dn won't print from one computer, but another computer on the same network prints just fine.

After nearly 12 hours of continuous hair-pulling, finally ran across the solution on a Microsoft forum site: It turns out the problem was a recent update to the antivirus software (McAfee, specifically) that changed firewall settings.  Can't seem to get the AV software to permanently allow the printer, but temporarily turning off the firewall in the AV software solved the problem.  (the other machine is running a different AV software package)  Just have to be careful during that 15 minute period.

Anyway, if you encounter a similar problem, be sure to check firewall settings.
