My Photosmart C4680 randomly bounces around in the TouchSmart menus whenever it it turned on. It will scan, copy, print...I can even get into a kind of tug-of-war with it by hitting the back or cancel buttons. I cannot print anything I want to print because it is always busy doing something else and my print jobs never make it through. I ran the diagnostic utility, which said that the driver was missing or corrupt. I uninstalled and re-installed, but it continued as before. I ran the utility again, and again it said that the driver was missing or corrupt, so I uninstalled and re-installed again, with the same results. I have a PC with Windows 7 32-bit.

So on the printer itself it bounces around the menus? If that is the case, disconnect it from the computer and see if it still bounces around? If so then try a power reset on the printer itself.
While it is turned on, unplug the power connection from the back of the printer. Wait at least 30 seconds, reconnect the power plug to the back of the printer. Turn it on, and see if it made a difference. If so, then try hooking it back up to the computer.

It does still bounce around in the menus whether it is connected to the computer or not. The power reset didn't help--in fact I've left the printer unplugged and disconnected for hours at a time and it still does the same thing as soon as I turn it back on. Thanks for the suggestion though.

My printer is doing the same thing, and on top of that, the display is now in Japanese. Does anyone have a fix?
