I just got a replacement CP2025 color laserjet yesterday for one that broke that was under warranty. I've had mine for 6 months with no problems. This is the 2nd refurbished unit I've received that hasn't worked properly and because it's the weekend I can't get tech support on the phone or through chat.
Anyway, this unit prints all text in black instead of color AND I have made sure that this option (print all text as black) has been disabled in the settings. What can I do to make it print in color? Anything? Or have they sent me another dud? Please help. I have lots of work to do this weekend.

Hi, are you using the Universal Print Driver (UPD)?

Yes, UPD PCL 6. Worked fine on my original, but not the replacement. I've hooked up my old printer to use this weekend and it's printing text in color fine. Really strange. The refurbished unit only prints text in black but graphics are in color.

Open the CP2025 Printer Properties and check that the print driver indicates color support in the driver on the General tab.
If the Color: setting in the Features section on the General tab is set to No , the driver is not configured to print in color.

I went through all those steps, but even after doing the "update now" in auto configuration the Color was still set to No.

Make sure that the "print in greyscale" option is not checked in the driver.

Nope, it's not. Graphics are printing in color, but text will only print in black.

Do you have the same problem using the PCL 5 driver?
