Cannot print photos from my HP All-in-One Photosmart Plus printer C210

Since I've owned this printer, I have never been able to print photos from either the main or the photo tray!  Use Windows 7.  No matter which try I specify, I keep getting error message "Re-insert or lower the Photo Tray".  When I try to readjust, nothing seems to be amiss with the tray(s) and the printer attempts to print again and I receive the same message.  Have tried everything including reinstalling the print driver to no avail.  Cannot print photos from any photo software (I have 4) including PhotoShop Elements.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks!  I wish I hadn't thrown my old all-in-one away!

Talk a look at this help link from HP.

Check you C210 for any firmware updates here.

What photo paper brand are you using?

Can you print a photo on plain paper?

Thank you 8lives, I'll check the links you provided.  I am using HP Premium 4x6 papers.  I have not been able to print on plain paper before, but will try again now.

Thank you sincerely.  I uploaded one upgrade from the link you provided and then pulled the photo loader out and rammed it in (the link you provided was helpful in that the photoloader AND the main tray are flush - mine wasn't!)  I really had to use brute force, but it worked.  Thanks so much!  Hours online searching for a solution and you nailed it in seconds.
