I just got my Deskjet 3050 over the past summer, and now it is giving me this error code (0x00729c98) every time I turn it on. It turns on fine and makes a few whirring noises like it's adjusting, then both ink cartridge marks flash orange as does the exclamation mark next to the screen on the printer. The only thing the printer's screen says is that error code, and the only way I've been able to turn it off is by unplugging it. I'm in college so I really need my printer for random things at least twice a week. Anyone have any ideas?

I had the same issue and called in. They told me it was a hardware issue and it cannot be fixed. They said if you are within warranty they may be able to replace it, but mine wasn't so they just offered new ones to buy.
