Recently upgraded to Windows 7 and downloaded updates on PC HP p6110y. Entire system performing well for one week. HOWEVER, my F4400 All-One-Printer for past 2 days has refused to print e-mail and web-based documents. The following message is displayed on screen:
Line 2115
Char 1
Unspecified error
Code: 0
URL: res://ieframe.dll.preview.js
I have shut down computer, unplugged power supply, detached USB, and detached cables to printer. I have reattached cables, powered up, and run HP on-line Printer/Scan Doctor. Diagnostic says I'm up and running, and I printed test page. Went into my Control Panel settings, and nothing is revealed that indicates a connection or not ready condition.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for listening and helping.

Hello INROCK,
I have a couple questions:
1. Did you upgrade from Vista to 7?
If so...
2. Did you uninstall the printer before upgrading?
If not, I recommend running the following patch:

Thank you for the response.
Yes, you correctly surmised that the printer issue coincided with upgrading from Vista to Windows 7. I did not specifically uninstall and re-install F4400 software, presuming that the Windows 7 installation and subsequent upgrades would detect and ensure my system was fully operational. I will consult the reference you furnished.
As an aside, I have now successfully printed e-mail and web pages when online with Explorer 8. Interestingly enough, Explorer 9 seems to be the hiccup when trying to print. My problem may be related to my e-mail account, which is tied to Google Chrome and g-mail; i.e. it's possible that my service provider (HOMESC) has some tweaking to do top accomodate Explorer 9. [NOTE: This is pure speculation. I'm not smart enough to figure out how electrons are dispersed throughout the universe.
Thanks again for the kindness of your response. I'll let you know how this all works out.
Warm Regards,
Dan
