I just bought a Photosmart 110a. The color is horrible. I believe I install the caretridges correctly. The carriage that holds the print cartridges is so flimsy that I'm afraid I'll break it. The color is almost like I'm only getting the black ink and no color ink at all. I removed and put both ink cartridges back in. Nothing seems to fix it. Ideas, please.

Make sure that no clear protective tape remains on the contacts or nozzles.
Could also be a defective color cartridge.

Thanks for the tip. I'm sure I removed all the tape when I set it up but I'll check again. This was the cheapest printer in the store so the answer may be that I just didn't pay enough for a printer. But I would have expected more from HP.
