HP 2840 CLJ Paper Handling Issues

By default the HP 2840 has no problem printing when Letter Size paper is in Tray 2.
 
But when I need to use Legal Size Paper in Tray 2, all sorts of problems arise, like 'Load Letter Size Paper in Tray 1' when printing Config Report or 'Press Enter[check mark] to use Available Media' for normal printing.
 
These questions do not come up when Letter Size paper is in Tray 2.
 
Can someone give me the settings I need to configure the Printer, HP 2840, to handle Legal Size Paper in Tray 2, without the problems mentioned above (i.e. I want it to behave the same way it does when Letter Size Paper is in Tray 2).
