Re: HP 7510: Displays error 0:0xb893eb84

No problem. I have a voip wifi router and have several computers, most (four) have Win7, one Win8.1 and one (sometimes two) have OSX. I have two internet radios and four smartphones (3 iOS, one Android). There are three PS3s, one Xbox and one Wii. An until three weeks ago I had an HP Photosmart 7510 and an older HP Photosmart C7280 (which has also stopped working (with a similar problem), but so old that the warranty has run out).

I tried testing with the USB cable in the 7510 and that worked fine for more than 24 hours, but the printer was to no use for all of the above units exept for the one computer to which it was attached.

I've had no problem with the 7510 until a couple of moths or so ago. I tried changing the router's frequency, but to no avail.

Does this sound vaguely familiar or do we have entirely different set-ups?

I talked to my retailer a few hours ago. They will call me back tomorrow and suggest some kind of solution, so I hope that I will not be able to test much longer :smileyhappy:

Re: HP 7510: Displays error 0:0xb893eb84

Hi; here's the link to my post on this forum about my issue http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Issues-Troubleshooting/Error-Code-0xb893eb84/td-p/3205335 My setup currently as follows: Desktop running Windows 7 Ultimate(LAN) Laptop running Windows 8.1 Pro(LAN) 2 iPad's Roku 3 (LAN) WDTVLive (LAN) Synolgy DS414 (LAN) ChromeCast HP 7515 all in one bought at box store close to two years ago I have a netbook and other laptop that connect every now and then. The router i was using before was a Netgear WNDR3700v2, that was running DDT-WRT. Everything was running with out issue till i bricked the router doing a firmware upgrade. Since i had a gift card i decided to get a new router with some extra bells and whistles. That's when the issues popped up. If i turn off Wi-Fi on the printer no issues with error code I dug out an old router from Linksys and can connect to the printer with Wi-Fi with out issue. That's what leading to believe that this is a communication issue, and that the error is some kinda off buffer overflow.

Re: HP 7510: Displays error 0:0xb893eb84

Just for the fun of it I tried to connect my old HP Photosmart C7280 to LAN rather than WIFI. And right now it's been up and running about half an hour and seems to be able to print nicely. This seems to support the idea that it is something in the air. Only my router has been the same for longer than I had the 7510 that this thread is about.

I don't remember. I'll try and kill the 8.1 laptop.

Laptop killed. 7510 still displays 0x error after less than two minutes.

Re: HP 7510: Displays error 0:0xb893eb84

My laptop was just upgraded to 8.1 and don't believe it's an issue.  It's wired to the router and don't use much.  When trying to nail this problem down i suspected the new router or my desktop which is running Windows 7 Ultimate(Wired) might be the issue. I uninstalled the HP printer drivers to see if maybe if it was the drivers acting up but the printer still error coded.

I'm leanng towards the router but haven't ruled out the desktop completely. There's way to may settings to fool around with on the router to try a nail something definitive. It might boil down to using a packet sniffer and trying to decipher what information is going around before the error code pops up.

The router is setup is about 3 feet away from the printer and even tried to move the printer another 6 feet away with no luck.

Think this might boil down to a HP firmware update to make the connection a bit more forgiving.(?)

The printer has worked flawless for over a year an half, and have stuck by HP printer product for almost a decade. It be a shame if i would to start looking at competitors products if some sort of solution can not be found.

Same here, it worked fine from january to last month. I can't find why.

Did  it start at the same period for you ?

Re: HP 7510: Displays error 0:0xb893eb84

My problems started some time less than three months ago. I also like hp printers, but bought a small and cheap monochrome Dell laser printer in order to be able to print. It's a wifi printer and it works.
