HP Deskjet F4480 Printer, Windows 7, Driver Conflict Error
When I could not print, I ran the HP diagnostic tool, which encountered a driver conflict. I followed their instructions and uninstalled the current driver and reinstalled the most current driver, but I am still unable to print. I reran the diagnostic tool again with the same result, encountered a driver conflict. How do I get rid of the driver conflict for my printer? Thanks.

Are you installing the printer via USB?

From what you're describing, it sounds like the USB cable was connected to the computer before the installation software asked for the connection. When this happens the generic Windows drivers and the HP drivers will both try to install and conflict with one another. I would uninstall the printer and software. Then reinstall from a fresh software download and make sure to wait for the software to ask for the USB connection. Let me know what happens.
