HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809 will not connect wo USB port

I have wireless connection with one wireless SSID but I would like to change to another SSID.  This requires a USB connection and my printer wii not connect to my computer with the USB cable.  I tried several cables and different USB ports,

Acctually.  If you know the printer's IP address, you can type that into a web page and pull up the printer's EWS (Embeded Web Server).  From the EWS you can change all the wireless settings on the printer to the new network.  Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot. at least I csan change SSID's even if i can't use the USB connection.
