HP Photosmart 4250 paper jam

When I turn on the printer it automatically loads a piece of paper  and it goes half way through and stops and gives me the message " paper Jam" I clear the supposed jam and it keeps doing the same thing. I can't seem to get the printer to recognize that there is no jam
