HP Photosmart 5510 printer

Brand new printer. When printing or photocopying multiple pages, the 2nd printed page gets sucked back in, then fed back out, and the print is truncated and thrown off for the remaining pages.

Re: HP Photosmart 5510 printer

I have the same issue. The printer is connected to our Wifi network. We have realigned the printer thinking this could be the problem but the issue still occurs. It is as though the print message is not received correctly.

Can anyone help resolve this?

Thanks

Re: HP Photosmart 5510 printer

Does this happen when printing from Word, Notepad, Adobe or some other program? Is it only a problem with one program or all of them?

What operating system? Is the operating system an upgrade version?

Re: HP Photosmart 5510 printer

We originally tried printing web pages and Adobe documents from an Acer laptop running Windows XP and an Apple MacBook Pro running OX10.6.

I reinstalled the software on the Macbook and I still had the same issue.

Since posting I tried printing PowerPoint handouts from my skydrive on my Dell desktop PC running Vista and it worked without sucking the paper back in. So I then tried to print the same documents we tried on the laptops and they worked too.

I thought I should check if the same documents now worked on the Acer and the Macbook, and they did print correctly. The issue seems to have resolved itself :smileyfrustrated:

I'll reply to the thread again if it occurs at a later date.

Thanks for the quick response to try to help resolve the issue.

Photosmart 6510.  It happens when the printer is not being used but not turned off.
