I have a HP Photosmart D110 printer that I use with a Mac and it has been working good. After printing a few jobs today, I started to print something else and after printing 3/4 of a page (the print job was 5 pages) the printer shut down and restarted right away. It gave the error message "to avoid damage use on button to shut down. Do not use outlet to shut down." The printer is plugged into the same power strip that my computer is plugged into and the set up has not changed for several months. I checked the plug in the back of the printer and it seems good. I tried powering down the computer and printer and then restarting, but still have the same problem.

If you plug the D110 into a wall plug directly does it still shut down?

It's happening to me as well. Worked fine for over a year. I've tried different plugs and it does not make a difference. Only happens when I print more than 2 pages.

Sounds like a internal hardware problem on the D110.
