HP Photosmart c309g Unresponsive

My HP Photosmart c309g printer which is about 2 years old has become unresponsive. I have checked with a circuit tester that there is power all the way through to and including the power button and touch screen but there is no light and no response when I press the power button or touch the touch screen. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do to get it working again?

Have you check the power adapter voltage out?

I have checked that there is power out of the adaptor and into the printer and power in the printer at the power button and touch screen. I have not checked what the voltage is. I have been using the same adpator and and power supply for 2 years with no problems until now. Do you mean that a fault might have occured in the adpator that has casued the voltage to change even though adaptor is still supplying power to the printer?

Yes, that is one possibility the other is a internal C309g problem.

After trying everything I could think of I ordered a new power adaptor from HP @ £18. Plugged it in and the printer started working immediately. So problem solved thanks.
