HP photosmart 8700 printer thinks 11x17 paper is to big for 11x17 documents

Like the subject says when printing an 11x17 document on 11x17 paper the printer will say that the paper is too big for the document and asks if the user is sure that they want to print on 11x17 or gives them the option to cancel and use a different paper size. Is there anyway to bypass this message so that printing will go faster?

This message does not show up when printing on 8.5x11 and printing goes smoothly. The OS installed is windows 7 64 bit and the printer is connected via USB.

Hi,

I underdstand that your trying to print on 11x17 paper but the unit supports 11x14. Try using 11x14 paper and it should work. Below is the link for product specification for this printer.

according to your link it seems to say that the paper size can got up to 13x19 which would mean that 11x17 falls in that catagory.
