HP photosmart C4795 scanner is not working - Windows 7

I cannot get the scanner to scan from the printer button. It does work from Windows. I had problems getting the printer to work last night, and got that fixed by reinstalling updated drivers. Now the scanner does not work. I can no longer find the HP Support Center software on my PC either. Does that disappear after the warrant runs out?

Hi there parkerhouse777;

Go to this link www.hp.com/go/tools . You can try  by downloading and running The HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool was design by HP to diagnose Print, scan and connectivity issues most of the time will fix the issue for you.  

If it does not please share what errors the tool finds and I will do my best  to assist you with your problem.

Thank you for your reply. Somehow the HP Solutions Center software was removed from my PC! So, the Print and Scan Doctor SW didn't work. But that alerted me to the missing SW.  After I reloaded the HPSC, everything is working fine.
