I cannot print

hello it is the first time to I post in this nice community , I have an issue with my Hp deskjet 1050 j410 series ; I cannot print ...if I save a document I open and after I click the print area , after that shows me a green bar print download ....like the print is working but doesn't print ...even as a email attachement ..etc. .....I have a windows 7 ultimate , dual core, asus pc...please help and thanks

Hello,

You may try using the Print Diagnostic Utility , click here  -- PDU to download and run. Let me know the result of it.

hello and thnaks foor the message but I forgot to tell to I already did the PDU ..and doesn't work ...

Hello,

 

Please perform the below step and let me know the result ..

 

Click START > Device and Printer > Add a Printer > Add a local printer >

( if the printer is connected with USB )

Select "Use Existing Port " then Virtual USB from drop down  , Click NEXT, in the Manufacturing list , select HP / Hewlett packard, and from the right pane , select Deskjet 6980 and complete the wizard

 

Now try printing ,it should work.

The HP Print Diagnostic Utility (aka "PDU") has been replaced by HP's next generation diagnostic tool, the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

All functionality previously available in the PDU and the HP Network Diagnostic Utility (aka "NDU") has been combined in one easy to use tool, the new HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Get the HP Print and Scan Doctor here: www.hp.com/go/tools

 

Be sure to let HP know how it goes with the new Print and Scan Doctor by taking the short survey you will receive when you are finished with the tool.

hello and thanks for the message I follow all the instructions below and after all I follow the test print page and is working fine but when I saved a document , a email document attachment , a jpg document....the printer doesn't work ...waht I need to do ? ...thanks
