I'm going to buy a printer and trying to decide between HP Photosmart 7510 and HP Officejet 6500A Plus.
I found a post [ http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Printing-Questi
1) I wonder, if it is also possible on HP Photosmart 7510. It uses the same driver [ http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloa
2) Also: what are the options after selecting the "Change" position -- can I enter time in seconds or something like that?
3)What is the minimal time?

You can't use the drivers for the 6500A with the Photosmart 7510. They have completely different drivers, though the software they use is similar. On the 7510 there is no way to adjust the dry time, nor is there a way on the 6500A plus. The post with the option was for a 6500 E709n and the printer you are looking at is the 6500A plus E710n. Those printers use completely different software packages. The original poster was referring to the printer you are looking at, but Bob_Headrick must have gotten confused and posted his reponse referencing the wrong printer. Both the 7510 and the 6500A have standard dry times that cannot be changed. The dry times are there to prevent streaks, smears, and color transfers, so you don't end up wasting paper on bad print outs. Hope that helps explain and clear things up.
Also, you may want to look at the 6700 Premium instead of the 6500A Plus. 6700 might be a little more pricey, but it will be more ink effient and have a longer support life at this point than the 6500A Plus.
