Product: HP Officejet 5740 e-All-In-One
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an HP Officejet 5740-e All-In-One that has all kinds of problems:  periodically decides not to print documents from either of my HP or Lenovo laptops.  Won't accept HP Instant Ink ink cartridges, or HP ink cartridges purchased from store.  Cannot get decent support for this product from HP.  Is this basically a throw-away item now?

As far as I know there are no user replaceable parts in these lower end home use printers. So if brand new ink cartridges arent working, and seeing as the cost of the printer is under 100 bucks, yes...it is basically a throw away printer. Wish I had better news for you.

I'm having similar problems: Cannot get one of my 3 laptops to print from it; sometimes the others do, sometimes they do not, print from it.
