I have a Photosmart C4780 all in one printer, and I can't get it to print anything. When I send anything to the printer it acts like it's going to print (makes noise, takes up paper) then it just stops. The screen says "printing" but no matter how long I wait it never does. Last night I was able to get it to print an alignment page, but I was apparently out of black ink, so today I replaced the black cartridge and now it won't even print the alignment page.
Even though the problem is obviously with the printer, I have uninstalled (with scrubbing) and reinstalled the software, and I have also upgraded the firmware and reset the thing about 50 times.

For some reason it will print the test page after cleaning the printheads through the hp utility, but nothing else.

Ok so miraculously my problem is resolved. I started going through all of the options in the hp utility app and after running the paper feed cleaning, it started working again.
