I have a OJ4500 wireless that works fine until it goes into the "power saving mode" then it is freezes solid. The power button does not work either at that point. The ONLY way to get it back is to unplug it and start over. I have ad STAPLES out here for other issues and their tech cannot figure it out either.. he did some "internal reset but it still goes to the power saving mode. NEED HELP PLEASE.. This has done it from day 1!

Like gfdcfd145, we have an Officejet 4500 G510n that goes into power saving mode and then pulls the hole in over itself. It wonʻt wake up when a new printing or scan or fax job is sent from the computer, nor when the power button is pressed. Itʻs just locked up in a comatose state! The only way I have found to regain use of the printer is to go through the unplug/reset routine. This has become a real drag, seeing as it is a daily event, almost (I donʻt have to use the printer every day, so sometimes I donʻt notice itʻs dead). This is a serious fault in hardware circuits and/or software, and I really truly wish that HP would address this issue promptly...like, yesterday! First mention in this forum was two months ago, and still there is no effective support for users of this model printer. Very disappointing.
