Photosmart 5510 e - alignment page not straight so can't calibrate accurately

New today and just installed without any problems, working fine but alignment page prints out wonky so calibration not accurate.  10 x 15cms photo print not straight.

I have the same problem. Sorry I can help but maybe if more comment a soultion will be found.

The best solution is to return the printer for a refund and buy another brand. I've tried two HP 5510 printers and neither will feed the paper straight or scan straight.

Hello,

Please perform the below step that should resolve the problem.

On printer control panel

• touch wrench tool icon
• touch TOOLS 
• touch Restore Factory defaults. 

 Then when te printer is ready, 

On printer control panel

• touch wrench tool icon
• touch TOOLS 
• touch Align Printer

Now try printing . let me know the result.

Hi,

I followed your instructions and the aligned printout is not aligned. The print is twisted by a few degrees on the page. The paper and paper tray are straight as far as I can tell.

WHat els can I try or do I need to return the printer?

It could be a problem with the paper feed mechanism.
