Photosmart Essentials 3.5

Photosmart Essentials 3.5 has stopped working on my HP PSC 1610 All-in-One.  How do I restore it?  It was working one day and when I tried to use it the next I received an error message.  I have tried to find info on HP help, but have not had any luck.  I really need to have this.  Please help.
