I just purchased a Deskjet 2050. It seems as though the bottom margin could be lowered. In other words even though the preview looks good when I go and print lines can be cut off even though there is a good half inch of white at the bottom. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello jvtrombone,
Does it happen only when you print from a specific application like WORD ?
Please print a self test page and let me know if issue still exists ..
Press Color Copy Button and Black Copy Button at the same time.

Thank you for responding.
It happens in all applications. I just printed in power point. On the print preview I have a very slim margin to fit it in at the bottom. I printed and even though the words were not cut off it was a good half inch of white at the bottom.
I tried printing a test page like you said and it went through the printer but did not print anything.

Earlier you did mention that , when you tried printing the test page, the printer did not print anything except BLANK.
Is it still the same ? Blank page while printing the TEST Page, ?
If it did print the data, then do you still the margin issue ?

Jabzi

Hello ,
If the self test page prints fine, then for sure it is not a printer hardware problem.
- Please check for Paper type, Paper size in the Printer Properties.
- Also insert only 2-5 sheets of paper , adjust the paper guides and then try printing.
- If nothing works, the please uninstall the printing software and re-install the software.
