Error Message: Printer cartridge(s) missing or not detected
The cartridges were installed a couple of weeks ago.
Worked yesterday, error message came up on first print attempt.
I went through all the troubleshooting steps on the website, no fix.
Cannot get to the list of possible repair locations listed on the HP website.
Any ideas, other possible solutions?/

You will need to call HP@8004746836 to get the printer paired.
Also, I would suggest doing a hard reset with the printer.
Take out the toner/cartridges
Unplug the power cord from the printer and wall
Wait 30 sec
Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall (Make sure the printer is plugged into the wall and not a surge protector)
Insert the toner/cartridges back into the printer
Let me know the outcome

I went through ALL of the solutions on your troubleshooting section.
That includes your idea.
I reloaded the printer setup disc that came with it, and turned the printer on again about 20 minutes later to try it again. It came up normally and printed OK.
I do not know for sure it was the reload that worked, or just the idle time.

Sadly, when I turned the printer on the next day, it gave the error message again, and nothing got rid of it.
I went through all the suggested fixes with complete failure of each.
In desperation, I replaced the cartridges, in case the problem was there. No effect.
I called HP tech Support using the number you gave me, and after a lengthy conversation, learned there were no repair centers anywhere in the Seattle area. Unbelievable!!!
He first spent considerable time suggesting I replace the unit rather than trying to repair it.
The Serial Number and Product Code on the labels on my printer were not in the HP database, even though I had registered it when I bought it.
You guys have some problems in customer support!!!
