Printer problem

Officejet 4500 wireless g510n serial # cn161j2358  operating system-xp

Problem: Printer goes into power save mode and can not use any function keys on control pane sometimes can print and wake it from computer most often have to unplug power and replug. Have only had printer 4months. Started about a month in.Any help would be appreciated.
