Printing to wireless printer

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless printer.  I have 2 laptops and 1 desktop.  Cable provider provides internet, phone and TV.  Just upgraded cable service and they had to install their own router to make it work.  When I now try to print, the computers find the printer, but nothing happens.  When I check the printer status, it says Error - Printing.  Any ideas?

Hi,

Since router is changed have you setup printer to the new network.

Re: Printing to wireless printer

Yes.  In fact, the printer says "ready" when I print to it.  I check the status and it says printing and then after a couple min the error message "Error - Printing" shows up in the status.

Re: Printing to wireless printer

Hi,

May I know what is the IP address of the printer and computer?

To know IP address on computer (Start > Run > type ipconfig > in black window type cmd and press enter > check for IPv4 address)

To know IP address on printer ( Setup > Network >Print network page)

You can also download and run HP utility to diagnose the issue.

Re: Printing to wireless printer

Hi,

Seems like both IP address are not in same range which is the reason that you are not able to print. Lets confirm the same, Please Enter the printer IP address on windows Internet Explorer address bar and check if any printer information is displayed.

If not displayed we might need to reconfigure the printer similar to range of computer.
