Was trying to print when my printer crashed. When I tried to turn it on all I got was blue screen with the HP logo with the moving color bar at the bottom of the screen. After a few moments, all I get is a blue screen with the power button icon and B8084610 under it.
Is my printed hosed or can it be saved?

My Pro 8500 died after the firmware update process was completed. I have tried the # 9 reset and I still get the same B8084610 error message.
I feel that HP should stand behind their products and compensate anyone that has this same issue. The printer is not that old and there should be a longer shelf life than a couple of years.
I just had a problem with a SONY TV and after enough complaints were lodged Sony is replacing all of the out of warranty TV's.
I will never buy another HP product and will continue to post my experiance with this Pro 8500, anywhere that I can find, if I do not get compensated for something that is clearly a mistake on HP's part.

Their vanted Tech Support can't even understand that it doesn't matter what firmware update you run if the printer won't be acknowledged as anything but a paperweight by a computer.
I have never experienced anything like this when updating any PC, laptop, printer, anything.
But these guys are the first to tell you that they work of HP...whcih apparently means something or gives some form of weight to their statements...even after you tell them that their fix didn''t work.
Its just laughable...I think HP needs to sell more of their 8600 line which replaces the 8500....and that's why we're here.
