The attachments on the e-mail will not print

I have HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One Printer and Toshiba laptop running Windows 7. When I open an attachment in an e-mail, the attachment will not print. The attachment diappears when I hit Print.

Hello mrsmusc,

Are able to print any documents opr pictures except the attachment ?

Try saving the attachment , then open it from the saved location, then try printing .

Yes, I can print other documjents.  I tried saving the attachment, but it also faile to print. Thanks for your suggestion.

May i know the file format of the Attached file ?
is it doc, jpeg or pdf .
