Wireless printer want come on line (HP officejet 6500 E709, MacBook Pro just stay in the hold

Cant get my Hp office jet 6500 E709 to print Wireless from my MacBook Pro.

Will work when its conected to the computer, went through the set up three time and it's states that it connected but it just sit in the hold.

Smokeey, Lets try printing a network configuration page.

1. On the HP product control panel, press the Setup button ( ). The Setup menu displays.
2. Press the Right Arrow button ( ) to scroll through the options and select Network Setup , and then press the OK button.
3. Press the Right Arrow button ( ) to scroll through the options and select Print Network Configuration Page , and then press the OK button.
   The product prints the network configuration page.

Let me know if you have a IP address assigned or if you are getting 0.0.0.0

I am having the same problem.  I just purchased this printer used, initially it hooked up great, setup was very intuitive.

It was in the middle of a print job when it went offline.

Printed the status report and I get URL http://0.0.0.0

Now what do I do? I'm not very savy with these things...

Hey NWSwissy,

This means your printer is not connecting to the router. What model printer are you using? Also let me know what specific model of OS X you are using.

I have a HP6500 wireless,

using Windows 7 Home Premium edition,

Have a Verizon MiFi setup. I manually reset the wireless settings and now it does say connected

with url http://192.168.1.2

But still says offline.... argh!

I thought this was supposed to be easy but I"m so frustrated I'm on the verge of tossing it

Have you ran the HP Print & Scan Doctor yet? This tool is usually is able to automatically resolve these issue. You can download the tool here: http://goo.gl/3DAkq

Give the tool a shoot and then report back. Im confident it will be able to fix the issue.
