business card stock

I have a HP OfficeJet 5610 all in one. I'm using an Avery template to print some personal business cards. Although everything looks fine on the screen, when I print, the text runs over the edges of the label. Is there some way to tell the printer that I'm using card stock rather than a label? It seems to be some type of "creep" issue. In fact, sometimes the card prints properly on copy paper but not on the business card stock.

Appreciate your suggestions.....

Re: business card stock

You too are affected by the HP printer "wandering margin" issue with printing sheet business cards.

I could tape 5 sheets of regular paper together and this would print ok but one sheet of perforated business card would not.

Here are some possible solutions:

All possible solutions require troubleshooting of various settings or software some easy settings some more difficult.  None of this trouble shooting should be required for users.  It is thought that this is a software to hardware integration problem.

I solved my problem by purchasing a competitor product that pulled the sheet though straight from the back versus pulling it in and around such as HP does.

Good luck with troubleshooting.
