printer's power light flashes and says it is offline. i ran hp print dr. and it says all is good what could it be?

I am having the same issue, windows 7 home premium, tried all the trouble shooter and print scan dr. to no avail. pulled power and removed and reinstalled drivers, restarted computer after new install and updates, print requests go into que but nothing, they willalso delete from que still nothing. Ready for a drop kick, any  help would be appreciated. thanks

Have you tried changing the USB cable or USB ports on the computer?

I have tried eveything, but the printer still doesn't work!

When I troubleshoot, it says: Turn on the printer and try printing again.

But the powerbutton light flashes, and when I push the powerbutton, it keeps flashing! It won't turn off, or on.

What happens when you plug the printer into a different computer?

Do you have a USB hub inbetween the printer and computer?

How long is the USB cable?

Nothing works but the powerbutton light flashes, and when I push the powerbutton, it keeps flashing! It won't turn off, or on. Everything stays in limbo waiting to print. Ink cartridges dated 3/11 color and 3/12 for black . Could they be empty and cause this problem of not printing?
