I have an hpdeskjet 4180 with a windows vista 32-bit system.  I receive no error message but get the words $friendly name$ for my printer name when I go to print something.  The blue hp screen appears after I log on, I see the $friendly name$ words in the top left hand corner instead of HP 4180.  It looks to install driver software for HP when I log in.  Is this an HP issue or a virus?

HI, I ve the same problem, right from the friendlyname is the button of the printer that s working....

but I can t eliminate this$ friendlyname$, no solution....??
