my HP 5610 All in one

I have only had a black cartridge for some time now.  I just recently purchased the tri color cartridge, but I can't seem to get my printer to print in color.  It will copy and scan in color.  And when I check the print preview before sending to the printer, the paper is in color, but no matter what I seem to do on my end, I can not get the printer to print the pages in color.  Please help.
