Officejet 6000 E609n when hit print for pdf get prompt asking me where to save on my computer.
When saved file is called up, and I try to print get same prompt asking where to save pdf!
Saved pdf to jump drive and use a computer on XP and a different printer and can print.
Is the problem Vista, my Officejet, or me??

Is your Adobe up to date?
Is the Adobe printer settings set to your 6000?

Sorry, I should have said: I'm using Adobe X (10.1.3, I believe). When I try print, I get the typical print screen identifying my HP printer, and allowing me to select Number of copies, etc. So I think that shows Adobe recognizes my printer.
But when I select the print button on that print screen, there's a pause and then a new screen appears asking me where I want to save the file! During the pause and before the "save" screen appears, a different screen flashes so briefly that I cannot read it.

Have you tried a different PDF reader? (Foxit)
